With a focus on expressing the inner self through abstraction rather than confining the subject within concrete forms, artist Sunkyoung Suh aims to illuminate her artistic realm through this exhibition. She will present an extensive collection of works, crafted over the past three years.

When engaging with Sunkyoung Suh's artworks, the concept of 'rhythm' naturally springs to mind. This emerges from the perceived motion within the joyful spirals, diagonals, and meticulously spaced color dots on the canvas. As the artist translates her sensory experiences into her paintings, she seamlessly merges musical elements like rhythm, melody, and harmony with visual components such as form, color, and composition.

Consequently, her works evoke a synesthetic experience, where multiple senses are engaged in harmony. However, this goes beyond mere sensory fusion; it's a reflection of the artist's process of constructing her inner world through painting methodology. Suh transforms intangible sensations and emotions into her paintings, aiming to comprehend them through her artistic endeavors. This is facilitated by what she terms 'formative rhythm,' where rhythm pertains to the spatial arrangement within the canvas rather than music.
